Last week, in honor of Nature Photography Day and to highlight the beauty of their state parks, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) announced the winners of the 2024 Capture the Real Florida Photo Contest. Photographers and nature enthusiasts were encouraged to explore the outdoors and submit their photos of nature taken within any of Florida’s 175 state parks, Contestants could choose between three divisions: professional/hobbyist, student, and mobile phone, all with multiple categories including landscape, wildlife, birds, waterscapes, and more.
